Volunteer Receives “Extra Mile for Youth Award”

Woodstock, IL – The Youth Service Bureau has just honored volunteer Al Stoiber with an award for outstanding volunteerism. The “Extra Mile for Youth Award” is given in appreciation and recognition for his hard work and effort during fundraising events, corporate sponsorship support and corporate donations. At the 10/23 Board of Directors meeting he was presented the plaque and his name was engraved on the permanent plaque that hangs in the YSB lobby.

One of his contributions was during the August “Kroozers Cars for Kids” fundraiser on the Woodstock Square. He set-up and ran the Big Al’s Pizza food stand and donated all the proceeds to YSB. He secured T-Shirt sponsorship for the event for the second year in a row, obtained a cash donation and other in-kind donations from his employer Aramark. He stated “I can’t think of a better cause than helping kids, and I’m committed to continuing support to YSB in the future.”
