Del Webb Sun City Woodchucks hand crafted 80 toys for the children that the Youth Service Bureau serves.

The Sun City Woodchuck's woodworking club has donated 80 toys for Christmas to the children that YSB serves. The Woodchucks have about 130 members and they worked on making the toys for 3 months. The toys include yo-yo's, dolls, ducks on a stick, pull ducks, marionette ducks, bears, trains, and airplanes. The toys will be given to the children that attend the Lakewood Neighborhood Resource Center, to the children of the teenage parenting and pregnant mothers program, and to other young people YSB helps.

Some of the toys were given out at the Parenting Workshop at Lakewood on December 15. Others will be distributed by the program directors and counselors, and at Christmas parties being held for the children. The toys will brighten their holidays.

YSB is a not-for-profit organization that has been providing counseling and prevention programs to the youth and families in McHenry County since 1975.  YSB is located at 101 South Jefferson Street in Woodstock.  For more information visit the YSB web site at www.ysb4kids.org, or call 815.338.7360.
