Outpatient Therapist:

Employment Category:

Exempt

Qualifications Required:

Master’s Degree in social work or related field. 1-5 years experience in field.

Licensure Certification Required:

Not required, but recommended. LCSW, LCPC or LSW, LCP in pursuit of licensed status.

Knowledge Required:

General knowledge of counseling, specific to child and family work. Knowledge of child/adolescent development; family systems; etiology of abuse / neglect; knowledge of juvenile court act and child welfare system; knowledge of community resources. Knowledge in specific subject areas may be required for some caseload assignments (i.e., sexual abuse treatment, Intake, etc.).

Organizational Relationships:

Supervised by Clinical Supervisory staff. Functions as part of treatment including client, family, co-workers and other service providers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Provide Individual, Group and Family counseling as indicated in Individual Treatment Plan.
  2. Complete Needs Assessments, Mental Health Assessments, Initial Treatment Plans, Treatment Plans, Reassessments and Discharge Summaries within stated times frames.
  3. Production requirements are 1200 billable hours yearly or an average of 100 monthly.
  4. Maintain records which support treatment and which are in compliance with licensing body guidelines and agency procedures.
  5. Provide advocacy as needed for clients and their families.
  6. Participate in a variety of case coordination services as needed with other agencies involved with the client for the purpose of developing and implementing treatment / service plans.
  7. Demonstrate an increase in 100% of client CGAS scores from time of admission to planned discharge.
  8. Give community presentations on agency and services as assigned.
  9. Participate, as assigned in community network and development groups.
  10. Other tasks as assigned.

Such services shall be provided by means of the following methods and at the following locations:

  1. 1) Counseling and consultation sessions shall occur in the client’s home, the office or at any other agreed upon location.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to make visits to client homes and other agencies and to assist and encourage that clients are able to attend all required meetings and appointments.

Competency Expectations:

30-Day Competency Expectations for Clinicians

  • Intake packets are filled out properly and no returns from the file development person.
  • Daily Data Reports (DDR’s) are completed properly, clinically sound and are turned in for data entry before the end of the day of service.

45-Day Competency Expectations for Clinicians

  • Mental Health Assessments are clinically sound and submitted to Supervisor without major revisions and within a specified time-frame.

60-Day Competency Expectations for Clinicians

  • Individual Treatment Plans are clinically sound and submitted to Supervisor without major revisions and within a specified time-frame.
  • Full understanding of the clinical paperwork flow.

Special emphasis on family and group work and coordination with other providers and natural supports in the community. Good computer skills and concurrent documentation a plus. Children's Program Specialist Needed

Be part of a child abuse prevention program and make a little extra money each week ($20.00) by using your professional child care skills. Parents Care + Share, a program of Children's Home + Aid, is looking for an additional person to help with child care for the children of parents who are attending a weekly support group in Woodstock on Tuesdays from 4:30-6:00 PM
