Youth Service Bureau Holds "Our Kids-Our Future" 5K Race, 1.5 Mile Walk Fundraiser

In order to provide needed social services to children and families in McHenry County YSB is holding their second 5K Race and 1.5 Mile Walk Saturday, June 2 in Emricson Park, Woodstock, IL. The race begins promptly at 8:00 a.m. Pre-race day registration is $21.00 and race day registration is $23.00. Race day registration is from 7:00 to 7:30 a.m. Participants can register online at www.active.com or download the form at www.ysb4kids.org. Trophies will be awarded to overall male and female winners. Age-group winners will receive ribbons. Race t-shirts will be guaranteed for the first 100 registrants. Pledge forms are available online at www.ysb4kids.org. A fitness basket packed with gifts will be awarded to the person with the most pledges.

The park is a beautiful place for a run or walk. The course is held within the park’s boundaries on an approximately 8’ wide paved hiking trail that meanders through the park. The path varies in elevation from flat to hilly.

The YSB Our Kids Our Future 5K Run/1.5 Mile Walk is being sponsored by Peak Contracting and Consulting, Woodstock Recreation Center, Creative Edge Graphics, The Running Depot, Strelcheck Chiropractic, Curves-Woodstock, Strength Fitness Personal Training, Home State Bank, Mercy Health System, Midwest Chiropractic Group and Dynamic Family Health.
