Pregnancy Prevention Program 

This program, funded by the Department of Human Services, is aimed at adolescents ages 12 – 18.  The main goal is the prevention of teen pregnancy.  Small groups, located in McHenry County schools, are facilitated weekly by trained Prevention Specialists, with an emphasis on abstinence.  

Group participation is voluntary and requires parental consent.  Topics are covered through a variety of mediums – discussion, activities, videos, etc. – and include: 

  • Health Relationships
  • Refusal Techniques
  • Protective Behaviors
  • Delaying Tactics
  • Goal Setting
  • Decision Making
