S.A.S.S.

Youth Service Bureau’s Screening, Assessment and Support Services program (S.A.S.S.) is a client centered, family focused program providing intensive community based services to youth and their families in order to maintain a youth in his/her home or community.

S.A.S.S. serves youth seventeen years of age or younger who are at risk of being placed in a more restrictive setting such as a residential treatment center or psychiatric hospital when their ability to function at home, school or with the community is severely impaired.

S.A.S.S. is a service coordinated by the McHenry County Mental Health Board.  Referrals for service go through the S.A.S.S. Central Referral Coordinator at (815) 455-2262, who will provide initial intake information.
