U.D.I.S.

The U.D.I.S. program seeks to divert court ordered youth from further penetration into the juvenile justice system by providing intensive case management and specialized mentoring services for youth between the ages of 13 and 17 who may be at risk of removal from their homes.

This program is funded by the Illinois Department of Human Services, and case management includes the development of a network of services that includes advocacy, counseling, education/vocational training and wilderness experiences.

UDIS case management provides a normalizing experience for offenders by using local resources and demonstrates the feasibility of short term community based corrections.

Participants may be male or female and are referred by the probation department to the Day Reporting Center Program Director.
