Wal-Mart Supercenter Store of Woodstock Donates Raffle Prizes for YSB Fundraiser
Wal-Mart Supercenter Store of Woodstock has generously donated a Philips 32” LCD HDTV and a Nintendo Wii game system to the Youth Service Bureau for its ‘Kroozers Cars for Kids’ classic car fundraiser August 18. The items will be raffled off to raise funds for the agency to continue its long time tradition of providing counseling and prevention services to children and families in the community. Gloria Daggett, Wal-Mart Associate of Community Involvement, was very supportive of YSB’s programs and services that support children’s mental health and well-being. Wal-Mart is also allowing YSB to sell the raffle tickets in front of the store Saturday 8/4 and Sunday 8/5. Raffle tickets are available from YSB and will be sold at the event. The raffle tickets are $5.00 each or 6 for $25.00. There will be 2 separate drawings for the items. The winning tickets will be announced at the event at 9:00 p.m. The winner need not be present to win.
The YSB ‘Kroozers Cars for Kids’ fundraiser is in its 11 th year. It is the second largest event on the Historic Woodstock Square. The fun event features 300+ classic cars and hot-rods on display. It begins at 5:00 p.m. and runs until 9:00 p.m. The day includes raffles for the T.V. and Nintendo, a cash raffle, great cars to look at, great food to eat, and a D.J. spinning 50/60’s music.
