Woodstock Rotary donates $800.00 to the Youth Service Bureau

The Woodstock Rotary that meets at noon donated $800.00 to YSB.  The money is slated for the Lakewood Neighborhood Resource Center.  This money will enable YSB to purchase much needed tables and chairs for the children and other supplies to help with its daily operations. Approximately 30 children attend the Resource Center on a daily basis.

The Lakewood Resource Center is a safe, structured place for the children at the apartment complex. At the center they have computers, a library, an art room, and activity areas. The children, from 1st. to 12th grade attend and learn life skills, study skills, social skills, arts and crafts, plus many other activities. YSB runs the daily operations for the center.  The tables and chairs will be places for the children to do homework, art projects, read, and do other activities they previously had to conduct on the floor at times.

YSB is a not-for-profit organization that has been caring for children and families in McHenry County for 30 years by providing prevention programs and counseling services. YSB is located at 101 South Jefferson Street, Woodstock, IL. 60098.  For more information visit the YSB web site at www.ysb4kids.org, or call 815.338.7360.
